Particula Group is attending RADAR project month 6 meeting in Groningen, where we discuss lignin side streams upcycling into high value organic bio stimulants and bio-fertilizers based on advanced sustainability assessment studies.
The RADAR project develops new value chains towards safe and sustainable aromatics for surfactants, flame retardants, and can coatings. To achieve this goal, RADAR will follow the European Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approach, focusing on molecular, process, and product design while ensuring safety and sustainability through an extensive hazard and advanced sustainability assessment.
To allow safety and sustainability assessments at early development stage. RADAR will gather toxicity data on bio-based aromatic templates using high throughput New Approach Methods (NAMs). This data will enable the development of a machine learning model that can be used to (re)design novel safer alternatives or conduct in-silico toxicity evaluations. The project also includes an advanced sustainability assessment, where standard life cycle assessments are supported by novel methodologies to fill data gaps.
