Our story

Particula Group specialises in developing novel products using organic microalgae biomass. One of its flagship products is TERRALGAL™, an organic microalgae biostimulant that enhances plant growth and overall plant health. TERRALGAL™ is a sustainable solution that promotes natural plant growth without the use of harmful chemicals or synthetic fertilizers. This product has the potential to revolutionize the way we grow crops and produce food, while also promoting environmental sustainability.

In addition to its microalgae-based products, Particula Group is also involved in the cultivation of organic CBG cannabis plants. These plants are fertilized with the company’s self-developed microalgae biofertilizer, which provides essential nutrients and minerals to the plants. The resulting product line, CANNADRIA™, is a premium quality and sustainably grown cannabis product line that is free from harmful chemicals and synthetic fertilisers.

TECHNOLOGY

Particula Group develops microalgae and bacteria biotechnology processes by operating 3rd generation biorefinery for the production of food, feed, and biochemicals.

The company uses advanced technology for the cultivation of photosynthetic microorganisms and CO2 capture as well as Nitrogen-fixing technology in order to reduce production costs of fertilizers and biostimulants by cyanobacteria.

MICROALGAE CULTIVATION

ORGANIC CERTIFIED BIOMASS PRODUCTION

We operate several techniques in our site under a semi-batch continuous model in an open and closed process on our microalgae pilot facility. Our self-developed photobioreactors (PBRs) consume up to five times less energy than other PBRs and result in significantly lower production costs. The technology is operated remotely from our laboratory using IoT based monitoring and control system

NITROGEN-FIXING BACTERIA

Our work also includes non-symbiotic and symbiotic nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Nitrogen fixation is a chemical process by which atmospheric nitrogen in the air is converted into ammonia. Nitrogen fixation is essential to life because fixed inorganic nitrogen compounds are required for the biosynthesis of all nitrogen-containing organic compounds, such as amino acids and proteins. It is also, indirectly, relevant to the manufacture of all nitrogen chemical compounds.

FOOD GRADE MICROALGAE

Our food grade Haematococcus Pluvilais and Chlorella Vulgaris are grown via state-of-the-art closed system greenhouse technology resulting in low production costs. Our technology is based on low cost airlift continous system and production of fresh algae biomass and pastes. The biomass is used in cosmetics industry as bioactive compound and in food industry as plant based food supplement.

NON-FOOD GRADE MICROALGAE

Our Chlorella Vulgais and Scenedesmus Dimorphus algae cultivated in waste water are used in different sectors;  bio-plastics fillers and resins, bio-fertilizers and soil amendments. Additional research is being done in CO2 sequestration and waste water treatment. Use of waste water for algae growth significantly lowers capital and operational costs and therefore results in low biomass price which is competitive to fossil based products.
